Course Overview

Upon successful completion of Level 1, you will be given more responsibility as you are taught how to properly and safely use the tools of the trade. You will install a variety of joinery products including doors, windows and straight flight stairs. We have simulated rigs in our onsite workshops which replicate site work in industry. Our facilities provide you with the opportunity to practice current building techniques before attempting formal assessments including ground/upper floors, pitched/flat roofs and kitchen installation.

Course Requirements

4 GCSE’s at Grade 3 or above (including English and Mathematics).
Applicants must have successfully completed a Level 1 Carpentry and Joinery course.

What you will Learn

This course is for anyone that wants to work as a site carpenter in the construction sector. It will allow you to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and / or career progression in Site Carpentry.

Assessment

The Level 2 Diploma in Site Carpentry course has seven mandatory units that you must complete successfully to achieve the qualification. You will be assessed through practical assignments and online multiple choice tests for each unit.

Progression

Successful completion of this qualification allows you to progress into employment or on to the following qualifications:
Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations.
Level 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry.
