Once you have gained an understanding of the basics at Level 1, you will further develop your skills by concentrating on fault finding and maintenance. By using various tests and by measuring equipment, you will expand your knowledge of:

Course Requirements
4 GCSE's at Grade 3 (including maths and English Language).
Applicants will also be required to complete an assessment, which must be successfully finished to a satisfactory standard prior to being offered a place on the course.

What you will Learn
The Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Principles - Level 2 has been designed to build upon skills and knowledge you have developed on the Level 1 course. The course will give you a comprehensive grounding in theoretical and practical aspects of motor vehicle repair.
Assessment
The programme is based on continual practical assessment along with completion of a portfolio of evidence. Each unit also inludes a written assessment and a multiple-choice online examination.
Progression
Upon successful completion of the qualification you can progress to Level 3 Diploma in Motor Vehicle or Level 2 Apprenticeship (subject to meeting the entry criteria and requirements related to the apprenticeship course).
