There are four free bus routes to Marple College, running from Denton, Hadfield, Bramhall and Buxton. Just show your Marple Sixth Form College ID to use the bus.

The college is just a 15 minute walk from both Marple and Rose Hill railway stations. From here there are regular train services from Manchester Piccadilly, New Mills, Romiley, Reddish, Bredbury, Brinnington, Gorton and Hyde. https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/stations/stockport/

There are also numerous bus services which serve the college from around the region. These include the 358, 375, 383, 384 and 394.

The College is a 10 minute walk from Stockport Train Station.  From here there are regular train services from Manchester Piccadilly, Macclesfield, Buxton, Wilmslow, Cheadle Hulme, Handforth, Holmes Chapel and Sandbach. https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/stations/stockport/

There are also numerous bus services which serve the college from around the region.  These include the 7, 11, 42, 192, 199, 203, 312, 314, 325, 330, 358, 368, 378, 377, 375, 379, 382, 383, 384, 385 and 391.

Altrincham Campus is a 10 minute walk from the Timperly Metrolink stop and a 20 minute walk from the Navigation Road Metrolink stop. Navigation road is a mainline station with links to Chester, Stockport and Manchester.

There are also numerous bus services which serve the college from around the region. These include the 19, 245, 263, 281, 746, 756, 758, 758, 765, 776s, 783, 789.

Stretford Campus is a 7 minute walk away from the Old Trafford Metrolink stop. The purple and green lines go through the Metrolink stop at old Trafford.

There are also numerous bus services which serve the college from around the region. These include the 79, 253, 255, 256, 263.

There are also easily accessible Cycle paths on all major roads / Canal routes around the college.

Students need to show their Marple Sixth Form College ID to use the bus.

Parking

There are free car parking spaces available for visitors, students and staff at our Trafford, Stretford, Cheadle and Marple Campuses, however spaces may be limited, particularly during office hours.

Stockport only has staff parking and disabled student/visitor spaces.

These tickets can be used for multiple journeys at any time and are valid anywhere in Greater Manchester, not just between your home and college. These cards can be used on virtually all public transport services in Greater Manchester, regardless of which company runs them. If you are aged 16–26 and in full time education, you will need to get a System One student membership card to buy a travelcard.
