Trafford and Stockport College Group celebrates outstanding NSS results

Trafford and Stockport College Group is proud to announce exceptional results in the 2025 National Student Survey (NSS).

The survey results show that the Group consistently outperformed national averages across key areas, reflecting its strong commitment to high-quality teaching, academic support, and overall student experience.

With a response rate of 97%, which is well above the national average of 71%, students at Trafford and Stockport College Group shared overwhelmingly positive feedback about their courses, support, and overall satisfaction.

Highlights include:

92.6% satisfaction with teaching on their course (vs. 86.9% nationally)
94.7% satisfaction with assessment and feedback (vs. 81.2%)
92.6% satisfaction with academic support (vs. 87.7%)
88.2% satisfaction with learning resources (vs. 87.8%)
88.2% satisfaction on student voice measures (vs. 77.6%)
86.8% satisfaction with organisation and management (vs. 78.5%)

In particular, students praised how intellectually stimulating and challenging their courses were, the quality and timeliness of feedback, and the opportunities to give input into their learning experience. Several areas saw double-digit improvements on last year’s results, including:

The NSS results reflect feedback from final-year higher education students and are used nationally to assess the quality of teaching and the student experience at UK colleges and universities.
